| Thursday, December 8, 2011 Is HGTV an Accurate Home Buying Model?by Mark Levenson on Thu, Dec, 8, 2011 01:01 PM Is HGTV an accurate home buying model? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. I have to admit that I really enjoy watching HGTV and have learned about what properties cost in various parts of our country as well as in other countries around the world. But let’s face it. There is plenty of acting going on in many of the episodes and very little realistic dialogue between the REALTOR® and clients. In real life, it is important for me, as a San Diego area real estate professional, and my clients to have a clear understanding about what is realistic for them as well as bouncing ideas about specific cities within communities and the pluses and minuses of each. That way, I can focus on showing you only the properties that fit your particular wants and needs instead of overwhelming you with homes that may not work.
Have you ever noticed the only thing that is usually discussed in regards to areas are whether they are within close proximity to the couple's work or another family member's home? This is not realistic enough for me. I have found that my clients tend to base their San Diego home buying decision on the location of a home in regards to their areas of interest, shopping, caliber of schools, future resale and appreciation potential, etc. instead of where they work or which relative lives nearby.

Your San Diego Real Estate Investment Specialist Friday, March 4, 2011 Coronado! What a Wonderful Place to Live!by Mark Levenson on Fri, Mar, 4, 2011 04:49 PM
Coronado - A Fabulous Place to Live!
For those of you who already vacation in Coronado or those of you who live in the area and want to buy or sell here, it is no secret that this is one of the most fabulous areas in the world to live. I am very fortunate to have grown up here and attended the Coronado Public Schools.
What more could anyone ask for?
The weather, the shops, the beaches, the bay, sailing, golf, tennis . . . it's all here. But best of all is the community of Coronado itself. Being a town centered around the military, there is a pride within this city that is not found in many communities. Most of you know what I'm talking about. Parades, concerts in the park, July 4th etc. The geography of this town is quite unique. Having the bay on one side and the beach on the other and everything else in between is quite impressive.
Just looking at all of the unique real estate as you stroll about town is an experience to take in. Just talk to a native as you take in a cup of coffee at one of the local hotspots or as you are walking in town, on the beach or anywhere in town for that matter. People actually talk to one another here. Then there's the Hotel Del. A classic.
Passions run high here. It's no wonder why.
After being in real estate now for 30 years, I am very much committed to helping my clients achieve their dream of ownership here in Coronado. For this reason I listen intently to the needs of my clients and will help them understand their options in buying or selling here in Coronado. If my clients need information about any specific property or information about schools, proximity to other locations, unique needs or various questions, I am here to assist you. Please contact me with any questions or needs and I will look forward to speaking with you.
